With the new school year comes a new sports season! Before I get into talking about what the members of exec are doing to ensure you have a great time in the Dawg Pound, I will tell you all a little bit about me.
I am a senior Public Relations major and not only do I serve as the Public Relations officer for Dawg Pound, I also am the president of my sorority. This is my fourth and final year in the Dawg Pound and you can find me front row on the side closest to our team. The reason I wanted to join Dawg Pound exec was to give members the awesome experience I have had. Two years ago, I took the 24 hour drive to Salt Lake City to watch the dawgs play in the Sweet !6 and found myself sitting in the pouring rain at Lucas Oil. Last year was an amazing experience. I was one of the only Dawg Pound members to attend all of our tournament games. Although the end result wasn't the best, I love being a Butler Bulldog.
I am so excited for the upcoming school year! Currently, the Dawg Pound has over 950 members! That's more than we have ever had at this time in the school year! Currently, we are passing out our Navy Shirts and the memberships cards in our office (Hinkle 182) and the white shirts will be given once the Navy have been distributed.
Something new to happen to us is the fact we are now officially a part of Butler Athletics. We have decided to remove ourselves from the student government with the interest of our members in mind. We work closely with everyone in the Athletic Department so we saw this as the perfect opportunity.

We have some exciting things planned for this year including a partnership with Dawg Pound Alums, t-shirt give-aways and of course our end of the year party.
